This tool allows you to test all Twin Cam and M8 piston cooling jets while the top end is still assembled. Can also be used with the top end disassembled to check for leaks at the piston cooling jet gasket or as a preemptive check while building an engine. Great preemptive check while installing a camshaft or oiling system to ensure the piston cooling jets are operating properly.
Leaking or prematurely releasing piston cooling jets can cause high engine
case oil levels (sump) and lower oil pressure to your lifters’ bores. Piston cooling jets that fail to pop off will reduce piston lubrication leading to
increased heat and wear. With this tool, you’ll be able to verify operation prior to start up or to help diagnose an issue.
